For the Attorney to do the above, ensure the Attorney is set up.
1. Add Attorney User
Navigation: Global Overview > Settings > Users > Add User
Complete the Attorney details and select the User Type and Permission Group as Attorney from the drop-down list.
Note: You can select the Communities the Attorney needs access to. |
2. Apply Handover Status to Customers
Navigation: Community Level > Finances > Customer Status Management
Select the tick box next to the owner that needs to be handed over to an Attorney.
Next, navigate to the drop-down list which states select status.
On the drop-down list, select Handover. A second drop-down will appear whereby you will have to select the specific Attorney that will need access to this customer's account.
There will be an option to send an Email and/ or SMS with this Status selected. Use the note field to add any note relating to this status. These notes will appear on the customer profile which only Business users and Attorneys can see.
Scroll down and then click on Apply Statuses.
The customer will now have their new status provided next to their name with the Handover Attorney's name when you hover over the Red flag.
Note: You can click on the blue note icon for the breakdown of all statuses and notes added to each owner |
Here is where the Property Managing Agent and or the Attorney can make notes and upload relevant documentation to the customer profile regarding debt recovery.
