CMS - Meetings Invite Links - Tips & Tricks

Please keep the following important factors in mind when preparing your invitation and integrating the Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet link:

TEAMS:

Create your TEAMs Meeting > open the meeting, click on the copy link icon, which will ensure that you only copy the link. Please see the recording below.

Afterward, when navigating to WeconnectU, it is VITALLY important to ensure that you right-click and paste as plain text. DO NOT just click, paste, or use the shortcut key CTRL V - this will not paste the actual link, as you will see in the screen recording.

ZOOM:

Create your Zoom Meeting > open up the meeting > right click on the meeting link > Copy / CTRL C as per the below screen recording

And I repeat, when you navigate to WeconnectU, it is VITALLY important to ensure that you right-click and paste as plain text. DO NOT just click, paste, or use the shortcut key CTRL V.

GOOGLE MEET:

Create your Google Meet > click on the meeting > click on invite via link > click on the copy icon and again on WeconnectU, right click and paste as text - as per the screen recording below

Please see the screenshot below of a test SMS, and this might shed light on why it is very important to only include the link of the meeting in the link field and not additional text.

As the SMS structure is built to insert the link in the relevant place, when you include text, it is not a valid link, and this will, in turn, cause the SMS batch to error.

Purple: Date and Time of the Meeting

Orange: The meeting link

Green: Built-in RSVP links.

If there is a password on the Meeting link, the suggested practice would be to insert the password in the additional message section of the email.

This will, however, not reflect in the SMS message.
